I want to study...Jewish Studies

Jewish Studies is only available as a Minor Plan.  Therefore, you must choose a Major Plan to accompany it.

Jewish Studies has no strictly defined course requirements.  All courses that can be used towards the JWST Minor are options and most are taken in upper years.  See the Electives section for some suggestions of what first year courses to take that will give you the appropriate prerequisites to access these courses.

While Hebrew is not required to complete the JWST Minor, those students interested in exploring Jewish Studies might consider a course in Hebrew in their first year:

HEBR 135/3.0 (when offered) or HEBR 190/6.0 or HEBR 191/6.0 (see Languages in First Year)
