PhD candidates Alex Martinborough and Amelia Rosch have each received the David Underdown Prize for the best graduate student paper delivered at the 2023 Northeast Conference on British Studies, and PhD candidate Joe Borsato was awarded an honorable mention.

Deirdre McCorkindale (PhD candidate) has been appointed Assistant Professor in Black Canadian History at the University of Guelph. She will teach in the History department and the new Black Canadian Studies Minor program. Her appointment is effective July 1, 2022.
