The Indigenous Staff and Faculty Network at Queen’s is a recognized ERG at Queen's University. This employee resource group is for Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, and Inuit) staff and faculty to connect, collaborate and gather. All Indigenous staff and faculty are welcomed and encouraged to get involved with the Network.
The Office of Indigenous Initiatives (OII) supports the ISFN Leads in planning of events and workshops throughout the year to provide an opportunity for Indigenous staff and faculty to connect with peers, learn about the work being done campus-wide and to help create new opportunities or partnerships for collaboration.

In the summer of 2025, the Matariki Network announced Queen’s University would be the recipient of several of its Engagement Grants. One of which, ‘Stories of Belonging and Social Connection: A Micro-video Series Introducing Employee Resource Groups,’ was recently launched and features a series of videos spotlighting the university’s Employee Resource Groups (ERG) and how they connect to the broader themes of belonging, social connection, inclusion, and employee wellbeing at Queen’s. The video project, shot and edited by Queen’s students, was in conjunction with partners from the University of the Western Cape (Cape Town, South Africa).
