QES 2025

This is the seventh call for proposals for the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarship Program (QES 2025).

QES 2025 closely aligns with the vision set out in Queen's new Global Engagement Strategic Plan, particularly as both are guided by the values of mutually beneficial partnership, equity, and global impact. QES 2025 will support projects that focus on the adaptation, response and resilience to a changing climate. This includes (but is not limited to) projects focused on biodiversity; agriculture; energy; climate and public health; economic impacts of climate change; air quality; community resilience; education; ecosystems and water quality. Priority will be given to projects that focus on diversity and inclusion and result in a strengthened impact to local and global communities by young leaders.

We are now inviting project concept notes from interested tenure-track and tenured faculty members. Project concept notes can be for up to $300,000 CAD to support international study, research or internships for outbound Queen's students (senior undergraduate or graduate students with Canadian citizenship) or a combination of outbound Queen's students and inbound international graduate students. We are not accepting applications for incoming-only project proposals. All QES funded activities must be for academic credit/recognition. See eligible countries below.

As each institution can only submit one application, Queen’s runs an internal competition to determine which proposal will go forward as our institutional proposal.

Please review the Program Guidelines and the application information below before submitting your QES 2025 project proposal.
