Tools for Research at Queen’s (TRAQ)

TRAQ is the Queen’s research administration system used to manage grants and funding applications, certifications, and ethics approvals. The TRAQ system supports researchers and administrators through the full lifecycle of research projects, from proposal to completion.

Beginning in Spring 2026, TRAQ will be gradually phased out and replaced by "Cayuse."

Cayuse (coming soon)

Cayuse is a new, cloud-based research administration platform that will gradually replace TRAQ. Designed to improve efficiency, transparency, and collaboration, Cayuse will manage the lifecycle of research projects, including approvals, compliance, and reporting. The transition from TRAQ (Awards) to Cayuse Sponsored Projects will begin in Spring 2026. The Cayuse modules for Human Ethics and Biohazards will be released later in 2026. Additional details will be shared as implementation progresses.
