You’ve decided to accept the challenge of pursuing your academic goals with the Faculty of Arts and Science at Queen’s University, and we’re committed to helping you succeed, starting with your very first course registration on SOLUS, our online Student Centre.
This page is designed to allow new first-year students to book a telephone appointment to speak with an academic advisor prior to and during the course selection period.
NOTE: You do not need to book a phone appointment prior to registering in courses. We are simply here if you need us. Please do not wait to begin your course selection!
Before booking a telephone appointment, you must first access the "Faculty of Arts and Science 101" (FASC 101) online course designed specifically for new students like yourself. This online course, offered through Moodle will walk you through the A,B,C's of choosing your courses and enrolling in SOLUS. It will also contain important information about required first-year courses for any area of study that you intend to pursue, as well as other useful resources.
Before accessing either the Moodle course or the Phone Appointment Request page, you must have handy:
1. your Queen's email address (ie. email@example.com)
2. your Queen's netid
3. your questions
To access the Moodle course, click on the Moodle icon above and look for the small "login" button in the top right-hand corner. Login using your netid and password that you generated using your student number and date of birth on this page.
If you have accessed the Moodle course and wish to book a 30 minute phone appointment with an academic advisor, please follow this link below (when active) to see available dates and times.
If you need to cancel your booked appointment, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know. You cannot edit your phone appointment.
You will need your NetID and Password in order to log in to the web site.
PLEASE NOTE: Check your Queen's email after you have successfully booked your telephone advising appointment for contact/phone information.
Please note that the telephone advising appointment service for the 2013-2014 academic year is now closed.
