Queen's Student Alumni Association Volunteer of Distinction Award

The Queen’s Student Alumni Association (QSAA) Volunteer of Distinction Award was introduced in 2009 to recognize outstanding volunteers of the QSAA. Award recipients are honoured at the Queen's University Alumni Association Alumni Awards Gala.

Danielle Charland

Danielle has been a QSAA volunteer for three years, and the Director of Volunteers (Human Resources) in this, her final year. A selfless team player, Danielle’s leadership in the recruitment, hiring, and training of the QSAA volunteer team this year was outstanding, and key to the overall success of the programming during the year.

Her major project delivery focused on a new career-based resource with in partnership with Career Services - The Alumni Roadmap. Throughout the duration of the project, she has demonstrated professionalism and openness for feedback with all she works with.

Also an active member for Queen’s Cares, and the Queen’s Chapter of Medecins Sans Frontiéres, her involvement with these groups on top of her academic schedule demonstrates her commitment, vision, and passion for sustainable health and wellbeing for her community and beyond.
