We have another exclusive opportunity to experience the Whitney Museum on Saturday, June 8, for an evening of art appreciation and re-connecting with other Queen’s alumni. The event will start with a pre-tour coffee meet-up (5:00-5:45 pm) at “Untitled” café on the main floor of the museum, followed by a guided tour (5:45-7:00 pm) of select Whitney exhibits. Please join us after the tour for cocktails (7:00-8:00 pm) at the Studio Café on the museum’s 8th floor. We encourage all those interested to register and pay in advance for this special opportunity, as we will not be accepting payment and registration on the day of the event. See below for more details on the Whitney collection.
As the preeminent institution devoted to the art of the United States, the Whitney Museum of American Art presents the full range of twentieth-century and contemporary American art, with a special focus on works by living artists. The Whitney is dedicated to collecting, preserving, interpreting, and exhibiting American art, and its collection—arguably the finest holding of twentieth-century American art in the world—is the Museum's key resource. The Museum's signature exhibition, the Biennial, is the country's leading survey of the most recent developments in American art.
