Due to popular demand, Queen’s Sudbury Alumni Branch is bringing back the Players Sketch Troupe Tour! For the second straight year, we’re helping to bring the unique Queen’s University tradition of “Queen’s Players” to Sudbury. This one-night-only sketch comedy musical show will bring back fond/faded memories of past Queen’s Players shows staged at Clark Hall Pub, Alfie's/The Underground, Time to Laugh and more recently, The Mansion. No matter your year, you’ll recognize the unmistakable fun and hilarity of Queen’s Players. Players (formerly Queen’s Players Toronto) has staged 16 sold out productions in Toronto since 2004, raising over $200,000 for charity in the process. Now, once again with your help, they’re taking their unique brand of comedy on the road - touring this all-new sketch comedy show to Sudbury.
Similar to last year, we are officially kicking off our Sudbury alumni “get together” at 6:30 pm on Saturday, Sept. 29 at Little Montreal on Elgin Street to give everyone a chance to socialize and catch up! For those that are interested to see the “rock concert meeting a musical comedy”, the Players sketch comedy show will start at 8 pm. Tickets for the show are $15 and on sale now through the Players website, with tickets also available at the door. All patrons will be responsible to buy their own drinks and food.
Don’t miss this limited opportunity to reconnect with Queen’s in a most unique way. Feel free to bring friends and family and introduce them to the long-standing Queen’s spirit we have in our community.
