Homecoming fun!

Faculty of Education - EdFest

Join the Faculty of Education for EdFest, a family-friendly Homecoming event filled with excitement and entertainment at Duncan McArthur Hall and the Paul Park Courtyard (weather permitting).  Enjoy captivating musical performances by a talented lineup of artists (to be announced). Your toe will be tapping all afternoon as our students and teaching artists captivate you with guitar solo's, fiddling, singing and more.  Stay tuned for a full line up of performers as we confirm our lineup.

Bring your kids or grandkids, invite them to wear your favourite Queen’s apparel while they enjoy family-friendly music and a host of fun activities that will capture your kids imaginations.  More details to come!

Did you know that the faculty of Education has an art studio?  As a special treat, the studio will be open during homecoming and available for you to enjoy an interactive art installation. It is a showcase of an arts-based research project in conjunction with Dr. Heather McGregor. Our Visual Arts Professor was commissioned as the artist for this project around climate change education. In the exhibition, there will be a display of photos and videos of the process, as well as the artworks that were created. There will be several interactive components to the exhibition, including a soundscape installation where we invite gallery audiences to engage in 'deep listening' using clay listening devices created by teacher candidates in our program.

Please register as space is limited and check back for more information as it becomes available.

Do you want to help the faculty Education support Arts?  Give to the Community Initiatives Fund and support the arts through workshops, resource development, and more.
