Expanding to meet the needs of students and the future

Goodes Hall

Visionary donor Mel Goodes, BCom’57, LLD’94, provided the lead gift of $10 million which helped build the original Goodes Hall; an additional $5 million from Mel and his wife Nancy contributed to the building’s expansion.

With the additional support of generous donors, including alumni, faculty and staff, corporations and students, the $40 million Goodes Hall Expansion at Queen’s School of Business enables interactive learning and research, while staying true to the school’s tradition of intimate learning.

The expansion includes six new classrooms, breakout rooms designed to foster group discussion and teamwork, two new research centres, and additional faculty and student offices. The new wing also features a multi-purpose room for conferences, guest speakers, and corporate recruiting events. The project is LEED certified, incorporating design elements that promote sustainability and reduce energy consumption.

With a vision to be one of the world’s most innovative and influential business schools, the 75,000-square-foot Goodes Hall Expansion enables the school to increase enrolment, foster research excellence, and recruit world-class faculty.
