Five Queen’s alumni among Canada’s rising leaders

One is shaping the future of AI-powered banking. Another is working to pull carbon from the atmosphere. Three others are leading change across insurance, global banking, and capital markets.

All five are Queen’s alumni, and each has made Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 list for 2026.

Back after a four-year hiatus, the national awards program celebrates Canadian business leaders under the age of 40 who are making significant impacts in their fields.

“This year’s honourees are an impressive and inspiring group of leaders,” says Jeff Freeborough, managing partner for Toronto at Caldwell, the owner and founding partner of the Top 40 Under 40 program. “They are accomplished in their fields, committed to their communities, and already making a meaningful impact across Canada.”

The honourees were selected by an independent advisory board made up of 18 respected industry leaders from across Canada. They’ll be celebrated in Toronto this month, including at an awards night on Oct. 21.

Here is a look at this year’s Queen’s alumni honourees.
