This month, Queen's M.A.C. student Robin Canham saw her article, "Practical Techniques for Creating Nanocellulose Film", published in the Journal of Paper Conservation. Canham's article focuses on best practices evaporation casting nanocellulose films.
Among the images selected for the People's Choice round of Queen's University's Art of Research Photo Contest is a photograph taken by Art History Ph.D. candidate Ben McHutchion. McHutchion snapped this photo of Helmut Heinze's bronze statue, Choir of Survivors, which has resided at England's Coventry Cathedral since 2012. The statue was donated by the city of Dresden, and captures the civilian casualties of WWII aerial bombing campaigns. McHutchion's photograph complements his research, including the international cultural exchange in times of war.

Art History M.A. alumna Olenka Horbatsch presented on "Metalwork Design Drawings from the Circle of Hans Holbein the Younger" as part of Capturing Holbein: The Artist in Context symposium at The Morgan Library & Museum in New York. The symposium was in conjunction with the recent Holbein: Capturing Character, the first major exhibition dedicated to Holbein the Younger in the US.
