The QUIP Programmer Analyst, in cooperation with various IT roles within the department, will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and troubleshooting software applications that support the university’s teaching and learning and/or student administrative services. The Teaching & Learning, Personal Empowerment functional team is responsible for supporting administrative applications related to student applications and fees, essays and exams, and awards and bursaries. The intern will play a key role in enhancing several Java applications while gaining valuable work experience in a professional IT environment.

The Office of the Information Security Officer is searching for a student to participate in the development, operation, and continuous improvement of Cybersecurity Incident Response capabilities (“incident response”), Cybersecurity Awareness and Education capabilities (“awareness and education”), and Risk Assessment capabilities (“risk assessment”). To achieve this we need talented, innovative, and dedicated student with a keen interest in cybersecurity. The Information Security Analyst (Intern) will participate in cybersecurity initiatives and projects undertaken by the Office of the information Security Officer and IT Services. Queen’s is embarking upon the implementation of an Enterprise CRM platform that will support the ongoing design and delivery of digital student experiences, and overall constituent relationship enablement. We will require assistance from a student intern to work within our agile scrum project team on key activities related to our Enterprise CRM platform roadmap. Work can be conducted in a virtual/hybrid setting with occasional on-site work delivered on campus in Kingston and/or in Toronto, based on project needs (i.e. user acceptance testing and/or training event).

Summer Student Positions
IT Services is looking for dedicated Queen's students to work through the summer on a number of projects across the department.
IT Services is searching for a student to champion our efforts in increasing data literacy throughout the University community. As a Technical Writer, you will join the ITS Data Platform Services team and work with leading-edge cloud-based technologies. The Technical Writer is a self-driven individual who excels at both technology and communication to create documents, manuals, and training content to support our artificial intelligence platform services. You will be hands-on with data and AI technologies while creating demos, labs, and refining knowledge content.
As a member of the IT Services Support Centre team, the incumbent will provide in-person support to staff, faculty and students who visit the walk in support depot. Requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong customer service orientation.

The digital classrooms team is responsible for the 130 centrally booked classrooms, as a member of the team, the successful applicant will help with the maintenance and renewal of the rooms, including installing technology in new spaces, updating existing spaces and performing maintenance on existing hardware and software. The successful applicant will be provided with industry-leading training opportunities along with the opportunity to have input into the learning experience of students using the spaces.
