Dr. Peter Willis, an alumni of the Chemistry Physics program (1994), has been one of the scientists in designing Mars Rovers at NASA. He was invited back at Queens and delivered an inspirational lecture on his space dream in Chernoff auditorium in 2019 March. The popular lecture also covered his research work in designing a new bioanalytical tool box for 2020 Mars mission. Time has gone by fast and the tool box is currently on Mars searching for evidence of past lives!!
