Congratulations to PhD student Danielle McNabb for being one of only 10 doctoral Canada Graduate Scholarship (CGS) recipients to be awarded a 2021 "Nelson Mandela Honourary Title" for her research on democracy and legal interventions at the Supreme Court of Canada.

According to SSHRC/CRSH, "These honourary titles seek to recognize and support CGS-funded graduate students conducting research in one or more of five areas championed by Nelson Mandela: national unity; democracy, freedom and human rights; leadership; children’s participation in society; and children’s health. Ten doctoral-level students were selected to receive this honorary title from amongst the highest ranked candidates in the CGS Doctoral competition. As a recipient, [the] initial CGS award will now include “to Honour Nelson Mandela” in its title, and will apply for the duration of [the] award."
