Parent Workshop Series

Supporting your child's transition to high school

What is the Parent Workshop Series?

The Parent Workshop Series is a program for parents and/or guardians of grade 7 and 8 students with learning disabilities and/or ADHD across Ontario. Based on the parent component of RARC's long-running STEPS (Successful Transition from Elementary to Post-Secondary) program, the Parent Workshop Series offers parents this same valuable content in a virtual format.

The goal of the program is to provide parents:

  • Information and support to understand their child’s experience and potential more fully
  • Skills to navigate the school system
  • Ability to provide timely and targeted support
  • Support to know they are not alone.

The program consists of 3 virtual evening sessions that will take place on Wednesday, January 28, Wednesday, February 4, and Wednesday, February 11, 2026 from 6-8pm EST.

Registration is open until January 16, 2026. Register early as spots are limited!

If you are located in the Kingston area and are interested in you and your child participating in the in-person STEPS program, please visit the STEPS program page for more information.
