• Provides leadership and oversight for the development and delivery of research administration services, including:
  • grants and contracts - from proposal development to award close-out,
  • research legal services,
  • research systems, and
  • institutional programs.

• Manages institutional efforts to develop, implement and monitor an inclusive research strategy in collaboration with Queen's research community.
• Leads the design and implementation of I-EDIAA related initiatives and programs within the Vice-Principal Research Portfolio.

• Coordinates and supports institutional and individual nominations of faculty members for external research awards, particularly national and international awards.
• Coordinates internal selection processes for institutional nominations of external awards.

• Provides hiring, payroll and timekeeping support to the VPR portfolio.

• Manages:
  • Financial reporting
  • Internal awards
  • Budgeting and data tracking improvements

• Financial compliance and reporting.

• Process management and development.
• Manages the Bruce Mitchell Research donation.
• Internal reporting.
   

• Manages and guides the executive support team to deliver efficient, high-quality service to senior leadership.
• Oversees executive scheduling, communications, and workflow to ensure organizational alignment.

  • research integrity,
  • regulatory compliance in human-participant research,
  • research ethics in human-participant research,
  • research data management, and 
  • Indigenization-Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Accessibility, and Anti-Racism (I-EDIAA).
