Elevate Artsci: Waterloo Edition

Kitchener-Waterloo

Join us to kick off the Elevate Artsci series in Waterloo with an exclusive event. Enjoy refreshments and participate in an engaging ‘TED-talk style’ lecture as Queen's Faculty of Arts and Science takes its ground-breaking and award-winning research out into the world. Doors will open at 5 pm, the talk will begin at 5:45 pm, with more time for networking after.

We'll have a special discussion with guests from Queen's, including Dr. Art McDonald, LLD'17, Gray Chair Emeritus, and 2015 Nobel Physics Laureate, and Dr. Cathleen Crudden, Allie Vi Douglas Distinguished University Professor, Scientific Director of the Carbon to Metal Coating Institute, and Canada Research Chair, Tier 1 in Metal Organic Chemistry. Dr. McDonald and Dr. Crudden will share the incredible impact that research at Queen's is having on the world around us in an accessible way.

The conversation will be moderated by Mike Farwell of The Mike Farwell Show with Rogers Radio. Mike is a self-proclaimed Kitchener-Waterloo kid and has more than twenty years of radio and television experience.
