Eric Beynon

Smith Business Club Toronto Presents: Driving Exponential Innovation to Solve the World's Biggest Challenges

Toronto, ON

Eric Beynon, Com'98, is one of Canada’s quiet successes. As a principal architect of the $20 million Carbon XPRIZE competition, Eric is challenging the world to re-imagine CO2 and help solve climate change. Bringing 8 global oil and gas companies in to collaborate on the project, the XPRIZE is a Canadian climate change success story.

The Carbon XPRIZE competition is catalyzing innovators around the world to turn CO2 into valuable products. It is the second largest XPRIZE competition to ever be launched and is being run by the California-based XPRIZE Foundation. Notable foundation board members include Larry Page (Google), James Cameron and Ariana Huffington.

Today, Eric is the founder of a new impact enterprise called 9 Billion Lives, focused on identifying and mobilizing the big, bold innovations necessary to tackle the world’s largest challenges and enable dignified lives for the nine billion people who will soon inhabit our Earth.

Join alumni, students, and guests in the newly-expanded Smith School of Business Toronto Campus to learn more about Eric’s exciting, game-changing initiatives. A casual networking session will follow the presentation.
