The Isabel - Oakridge Ave and Tiny Horse

Virtual event

Join Oakridge Ave and Tiny Horse at The Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts for a digital live concert as part of Kinaxis In Concert series on August 13 at 7 pm.

Oakridge Ave

Oakridge Ave have been developing their sound in dynamic musical ventures for over ten years. "This Kingston band has quickly risen to the top of the city’s rock scene since forming in 2018 and galvanizing fans with their very danceable blues and funk hits and tight musicianship", notes Visit Kingston's Jordan Whitehouse. Their individual musical pedigrees range from being influenced by operatic choral music, Celtic punk, the most genuine hard working and endlessly touring Canadian Indie bands, as well as the theory and technique from Berkelee School of Music. Oakridge Ave is the sonic love-child of John Mayer and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, conceived at a party thrown by Kings of Leon.

Tiny Horse

Tiny Horse is comprised of Kingston's Ciara Roberts and Rae Corcoran. Talented and established songwriters and performing artists in their own right, the pair have come together with a new musical project, Tiny Horse. And the resulting musical sum is larger than the name implies. On a sunny September afternoon, they met with podcast hosts Riley and Reid in Kingston's Skeleton Park to share all that's inspired Tiny Horse, along with one of new duo's newly crafted songs.
