Join the Vancouver Branch for a fun and casual hike followed by the opportunity to relax and socialize. We will be hiking Rice Lake, which is a short, easy, and scenic route on the North Shore. After the hike, we will have a canopy, snacks, and a relaxing spot to unwind and connect with fellow alumni.
What to bring
This is an outdoor event, so please dress appropriately for the weather and bring snacks for the trail, food, water, sunscreen, and bug spray.
Accessibility
Our hike for the day will be 2–3 km, with limited elevation gain and gently inclines, and we will take a casual pace. The compacted gravel trail is well maintained and considered wheelchair accessible and stroller-friendly. There is an initial incline that may be a challenge for some wheelchair and stroller users. There is an accessible washroom located by the parking lot.
Getting there
The location has partial accessibility by transit; the nearest bus stop is located at Underwood Ave and Evelyn St, roughly 750 m (a 10-minute walk) from the entrance. There is parking available on site.
