Political Studies

Queen's University

Caitlyn is a third-year Political Studies student from Ottawa, Ontario. She has previously pursued research on the Dominion Observatory and the history of astronomy in Canada, but has shifted her research interests to a political focus. Her current research interests include bipartisanship in the Canadian government, civic engagement, foreign policy, and the role of non-state actors in shaping international institutions and norms.

This is Caitlyn’s second year working for IIGR, but she has experience as a research assistant for a PhD thesis, and as an administrative assistant with the Political Studies Department at Queen’s. Outside of school and work, Caitlyn enjoys reading, learning new languages, developing recipes in the kitchen, playing music, and getting out for walks in the city and in nature
