Queen's University was honoured to welcome Dr. Mette Hjort, Department Head, Literature and Cultural Studies, and Darren Au, Manager (International), Global Affairs Office, from the Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) for the official signing of a new international undergraduate and graduate exchange agreement between EdUHK's Faculty of Humanities and Queen's University Faculty of Arts and Science.

Funded by the Government of Canada, the Queen’s Indo-Pacific Scholarships and Fellowships Program supports international research placements at partner universities in a wider list of countries in the Indo-Pacific region, including India, Japan, Australia, Thailand, Vietnam, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, and New Zealand. The program is open to master’s students, PhD students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty in engineering, computing, and the natural sciences.

Dr. Lisa Butler, Queen’s University Professor (Public Health Sciences) and Canada Research Chair (Global Health Equity), has been named the recipient of the 2026 Principal’s Globally Engaged Education Innovation Award (presented in partnership with the Office of the Vice-Provost Global Engagement), a well-deserved recognition of her transformative approach to teaching and learning at Queen’s University. 

The Matariki Network of Universities (MNU) has announced funding for three new collaborative research projects following a competitive selection process. Notably, two of these projects include researchers from Queen's University.
