As Vice-Provost, Global Engagement, I would like to express my ongoing concern for members of the Queen’s community impacted by the terrible events in Israel, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip and ongoing volatility in the region.

I want to take this opportunity to re-affirm our commitment to the values of inclusive community that embrace the diversity of our students, faculty, and staff, including those from India and with ties to India.
Faculty of Arts and Science student Bethany Schaufler-Biback has earned top honours at the Global Undergraduate Awards. She was named a Global Winner when her submission was selected as the best in the Music, Film, and Theatre category.

On September 11, 2023, Queen's University had the honour of hosting a delegation from the French Embassy in Ottawa. The visit was marked by a series of engaging discussions and presentations centered around academic collaboration, research funding, and study abroad opportunities.
The Queen’s University community is deeply saddened to learn of the devastating 6.8 magnitude earthquake that struck Morocco late Friday, September 8, 2023.

On August 25, 2023, a hybrid conference titled "50-Year Relationship of Vietnam and Canada: Look Back and Forward" marked the commemoration of five decades of bilateral ties between Vietnam and Canada. The Vietnam Institute of American Studies (VIAS), a division of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, hosted the event in Vietnam.
