India-Canada: Queen’s Reaffirms Commitment to Academic and Cultural Engagement

As the Vice-Provost, Global Engagement, I would like to respond to the current diplomatic issues concerning the Canadian and Indian governments. I want to take this opportunity to re-affirm our commitment to the values of inclusive community that embrace the diversity of our students, faculty, and staff, including those from India and with ties to India. 

Statement on the Earthquake in Morocco

The Queen’s University community is deeply saddened to learn of the devastating 6.8 magnitude earthquake that struck Morocco late Friday, September 8, 2023.

We wish to express our concern and care for our Moroccan students in the Queen’s community, our Moroccan alumni, our colleagues at our exchange partner Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, and all those in the affected regions who are enduring the severe consequences of this unfolding catastrophe.

50-Years of Vietnam-Canada Bilateral Relations Commemorated in Hybrid Conference

On August 25, 2023, a hybrid conference titled "50-Year Relationship of Vietnam and Canada: Look Back and Forward" marked the commemoration of five decades of bilateral ties between Vietnam and Canada. The Vietnam Institute of American Studies (VIAS), a division of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, hosted the event in Vietnam.
