Credit Transfer

Credits are awarded by KGU. Queen's students can arrange to have the credits transferred to their Queen's degree program by applying for an International Letter of Permission (ILOP).

The Global Career Seminar in Canada has been pre-approved for transfer as either:

  • COMM 2UNS/3.0 or LLCU 2UNS/3.0

The Global Career Seminar in Japan has been pre-approved for transfer as either:

  • COMM 2UNS/3.0 or LLCU 3UNS/3.0

The Global Internship has been pre-approved for transfer as either:

  • COMM 2UNS/3.0 or LLCU 4UNS/3.0

The Global Career Seminar in Japan and the Global Internship has been pre-approved for transfer as a 6.0 unit combination as mentioned above.

To earn transfer credit, you will need to earn a final grade equivalent to at least “C” (63%) on the Queen’s University Grading Scale in each course. Transfer credit(s) and not the grade(s) achieved will be recorded on your Queen’s transcript with a notation of “TR”. Grades obtained are not included in your Queen’s Grade Point Average (GPA). Credit transfer policies may differ if you are not an Arts and Science student.

Please note that a maximum of 6.0 units from courses offered by other Faculties and Schools may be counted towards the Program and/or Plan requirements of any degree or certificate in the Faculty of Arts and Science. Some exceptions exist. Students are encouraged to consult with their department and/or an academic adviser in their home faculty/school.
