2SLGBTQ+ students are invited to join us for a weekly book club running on Tuesday evenings 4:30-6:30 pm at 140 Stuart Street on Jan 23, 30, Feb 6, & 13.

We will be reading and discussing 'Beyond the Gender Binary’ by Alok Vaid-Menon.

Expect sessions run by queer students for queer students: books are provided, viewing relevant media, optional reading of passages, & guided discussions.

2SLGBTQ+ Queen's students are invited to drop by to connect with Kel for: 

  • Referrals to service providers or campus offices
  • Navigating paperwork, such as name changes
  • Accessing gender-affirming supports
  • Connecting with community organizations
  • Addressing systemic barriers on campus
  • Information about programs and initiatives at YH and in the community

Solidarity Swim

Are you a trans, nonbinary, genderqueer, genderfluid, or any other non-cisgender person who wants a safer space to swim and also meet other students and wider trans community members? Join us for Solidarty Swims at the ARC pool; you can even bring a cisgender friend/loved one. We will be meeting outside the ARC and navigating to the pool as  a group, avoiding gendered changerooms along the way.

In partnership with Queen's Athletics & Recreation, Queen's University Association for Queer Employees (QUAQE), and Gender Affirming Assistance Project (GAAP).

Trans & Gender Diverse Winter Gathering

Trans and gender diverse community members are invited to a potluck style dinner and social gathering to celebrate the season on December 20th from 5-8pm at 140 Stuart Street. Hosted with Trans Family Kingston! Bringing a dish is optional—most importantly just bring yourself—there will be lots of food, and free gifts! Registration required—see link in instagram bio.

Gender Diverse Song Circle

Led by gender diverse community members from Beyond the Binary, TransFamily Kingston, and Yellow House- Gender Diverse Song Circle invites all gender diverse community (and invited loves ones & friends) to gather for an evening of joy and singing call and response songs- all are welcome, there is no experience required! We will meet at Duncan McArthur Hall Auditorium (B101) 5:30-8 pm on December 14th. At this time masks are strongly encouraged and will be provided on site.
