2SLGBTQ+ students are invited to join us for an evening of cooking and socializing on November 21st from 5-6:30 pm at QUIC (Mitchell Hall 208). We will be making garlic knots, rainbow pasta with sauce options such as alfredo or oil lemon garlic (dairy free option) and making a chocolate pudding dessert ‘Worms & Dirt’. Trans, nonbinary, and gender diverse Queen’s students are invited to YH@140 Stuart on Nov 20th from 2:30-4:30pm for coffee, tea, soda & snacks and community connection. If you are looking to meet other gender diverse students who you might decide to travel with to the vigil (happening 5pm@ City Hall front steps), want to talk to 2SLGBTQ+ Counselor Shannon Gendron, or just want to play some card games, enjoy some snacks, and meet others. 

Trans, non-binary, and gender diverse students are invited to pop by our drop in centre at 207 Stuart street between 9am-4pm on weekdays from Nov 15-20th while supplies last. Get a free care kit and grab some snacks. See our separate post for details on other events in alignment with TDOR. 

Gender Diverse Song Circle has a new look & collab with Yellow House! Led by gender diverse community members from Beyond the Binary, TransFamily Kingston, and Yellow House- Gender Diverse Song Circle invites all gender diverse community (and invited loves ones & friends) to gather for an evening of joy and singing!

We will focus on the joy of our voices by singing call and response songs- all are welcome, there is no experience required! If you aren't wanting to sing- that's ok- you don't need to have any experience singing, and tapping or shaking a provided instrument, humming, and other ways of engaging are welcome.

We will meet at Duncan McArthur Hall Auditorium (B101) at 5:30 pm on November 14th for social time, and begin singing at 6pm, we will have a brief break for 10 mins, and end around 7:30-8pm.

At this time masks are strongly encouraged and will be provided on site. 

Yellow House is partnering with YGK Thrift for this special event. 2SLGBTQ+ students, staff, and faculty are invited to join us for an evening of shopping.

Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Coordinator Tianna Edwards (she/her) and Sexual and Gender Diversity Advisor, Kel Martin (They/He) are hosting drop-in advising office hours every Tuesday this year.

Black Queen's students are invited to drop by and have a casual chat with Tianna on resources tailored to your experience at Queen's.

2SLGBTQ+ Queen's students are invited to drop by to connect with Kel for: 

• Referrals to service providers or campus offices
• Navigating paperwork, such as name changes
• Accessing gender-affirming supports
• Connecting with community organizations
• Addressing systemic barriers on campus
• Information about programs and initiatives at YH and in the community

2SLGBTQ+ students are invited to craft with us in our drop in art making space with options for self-guided work as well as guided sessions such as painting and zine making! Join us from 4-7pm on November 9th at Rideau Third Floor (207 Stuart Street).

Zine making session with Laurent will run drop in style throughout the event.

Painting with Mars is a structured session and starts promptly at 4:15. Painting session is also available virtually and some kits are available while supplies last—
