End-of-Term Staff Discount at Dining Halls

The university recognizes the value of community-building initiatives. Hospitality Services offers a 15% employee discount at various times throughout the academic year. Staff and faculty are invited to connect with colleagues in any campus dining hall over an all-you-care-to-eat meal.   

Present your Queen's University Human Resources-issued employee photo ID cards at the door, and the discount will be applied to the meal period door rate during the promotional periods.  

With the completion of the Leonard dining hall renovation, students, staff, and faculty can now access all-you-care-to-eat meals at all campus dining halls anytime for a standard per-meal door rate anytime throughout the academic term. Anyone looking to welcome teams and groups and use faculty/department billing can contact dining@queensu.ca for options and availability. 

The previous $5 Friday program provided staff and faculty access to the dining halls at a deeply discounted rate. The number of additional students on mandatory meal plans using the dining halls daily, and significant food and labour cost increases have eliminated the operational feasibility of this program. Hospitality Services is pleased to offer faculty and staff discounts to all dining halls at various times of the year, as well as drop-in access at standard door rate prices, any time!  

Next Staff Discount Days

  • November 28-December 5 (Thursday – Thursday).
  • March 31-April 7 (Monday-Monday)

*Note: Jean Royce door pricing includes 15% off while acknowledging lunch is a fixed retail style offering. Access to all-you-care-to-eat offerings at Jean Royce Hall is limited to breakfast and dinner. 15% discount also applies to lunch.
