Title: Polylogarithms and algebraic K-theory
Abstract:
Goncharov conjectured that special functions known as multiple polylogarithms can be used to describe the algebraic K-theory groups of fields. Through this connection the former ought to be related to several deep problems in modern mathematics. I will explain this circle of ideas and discuss recent progress in recent joint work with Daniil Rudenko and Ismael Sierra.
