University Research Services Notice of Intent Deadline

Information regarding the application content is not required. URS confirms applicant eligibility at this stage, and compiles an email distribution list to communicate directly with applicants.

January 4, 2021

University Research Services Full Review Deadline: 

Applicants requesting an OPTIONAL full review of their application by University Research Services are asked to provide their application to URS no later than January 4. Faculty of Arts & Science applicants please email your application to Applicants in all other Faculties / Schools please email your application to

January 19, 2021

University Research Services Administrative Review Deadline: 

Completed Insight Development Grant applications are to be submitted to University Research Services electronically via the SSHRC online system for MANDATORY administrative review. University Research Services will return the application to the applicant for final editing following review.

TRAQ Submission Deadline

Applicants are advised to submit their TRAQ DDS form by this date for Department / Faculty approval ( instructions PDF 758 KB). An approved TRAQ entry is required by URS before the application can be submitted to SSHRC.

Peer Research Consultants

Vice-Principal (Research) and University Research Services established the Queen’s social sciences, arts and humanities Peer Research Consultants program in 2015. Peer Research Consultants are faculty volunteers who receive up-to-date research information throughout the year from University Research Services and the Queen's SSHRC Leader. They assist colleagues in cognate areas in obtaining peer reviews of their proposals and in showcasing their research. We encourage you to contact the Peer Research Consultants for your cognate area.
