John Deutsch University Centre Opening Celebration

After nearly 10 years of hard work from students through research, referendums, advocacy and negotiations, support from the Queen’s administration and Board of Trustees, and then three years of construction, it’s finally a reality!

The AMS Executive and Rector are inviting alumni back to celebrate the grand opening of the revitalized John Deutsch University Centre (JDUC) and to kick off homecoming weekend. Join us for the ribbon cutting at 5:30 pm, take a tour of the new spaces, speak with current students, and connect with your old classmates over a drink at The Queen’s Pub!

The JDUC, is a building with more than 160 years of history, located on the corner of University Avenue and Union Street. It is home to the Alma Mater Society (AMS), the Society of Graduate and Professional Students (SGPS), the Office of the Rector, the Student Experience Office, a new Health Promotion and Peer Support Centre, new additional space for Faith and Spiritual Life3 food locations, the attached renovated residence, student clubs, and numerous student-run services
