The IDP Launch Workshop is part of the IDP program (Individual Development Plan (IDP) | School of Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs (queensu.ca)) offered by SGSPA.
In this introductory workshop you get started investigating future career possibilities, assessing where you stand in terms of skills and requirements, and making plans to get where you want to go – working through the IDP workbook in a collaborative setting with peers who are all exploring their next steps as well.
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Set flexible career goals that align with your values, skills, and interests, while being made aware of job-market options and realities
Identify strengths and gaps in your skills, leverage resources, and make plans to build additional learning experiences into your graduate education to move you closer to your goals
