Research: Optimal control, hyperbolic conservation laws, calculus of variations

Degrees & Accolades:

Ph.D. (University of Padova, 2019)
M.Sc. (University of Pisa, 2016)
B.Sc. (University of Salento, 2013)

Research Profile:

My research focuses on methods coming from partial differential equations, calculus of variations and control theory to study problems in applied sciences.
In particular I work on

  • control of invasive biological species
  • traffic flow with autonomous vehicles
  • confining fire and optimal blocking problems
  • bioinspired PDE models (bio-robotics)
  • control of conservation laws
  • numerical methods for hyperbolic systems of conservation laws
