School of Religion

The School of Religion at Queen’s University invites applications from suitably qualified candidates interested in teaching a course in Confucianism (RELS 229).  This is an on-campus, undergraduate lecture course with an expected enrollment of ~50 students.  Candidates should have a Ph.D, and teaching experience at the University level in Religious Studies.  This is a fall term appointment for the period January 1, 2019 to April 30, 2019, with classes in session from January 7, 2019-April 5, 2019.

Applications should include a complete and current curriculum vitae, letters of reference from two (2) referees, and any other relevant materials the candidate wishes to submit for consideration such as a letter of intent, teaching dossier, etc.  Please arrange to have applications and supporting letters sent directly to:

Course Description:
RELS 229 Confucianism
The philosophy, worldview, spirituality and ethics of Confucianism in its classical, modern and contemporary forms.
Wednesday - 11:30 to 2:30
PREREQUISITE Level 2 or above or 6.0 units at the 100 level in RELS.
