Geography and Planning’s Wai Yin (Wilson) Cheung has been awarded a top prize in this year’s Art of Research photo contest! Wilson’s time-lapse movie, Frozen in Time: Unveiling the Mysteries of Turner Glacier through Glaciological Research in Akshayuk Pass, was named winner in the “Research in Motion category of the competition.” The video captures glaciological research on Turner Glacier in Akshayuk Pass, which involves studying the physical properties and behavior of the glacier, as well as the surrounding environment, to better understand the dynamics of this glacial system.
