The Policy Analyst Recruitment and Development Program (PARDP) is Natural Resources Canada’s signature accelerated development program for policy analysts and economists. PARDP is looking for highly motivated individuals who are committed to creating change and contributing to the sustainable development of Canada’s natural resources.

Participants are hired as policy analysts or economists in the EC-03 group and level (salary from $74,487 to $84,282). After successfully completing two 12-month assignments in different sectors within NRCan, participants graduate at the EC-05 level (salary from $96,131 to $110,646). Participants must receive a satisfactory evaluation after each assignment.

The Application:

The program has two application paths: the Graduate Stream (open to Masters, Law (juris doctorate), and Ph.D. graduates), and the Indigenous Stream (open to Indigenous applicants with an undergraduate degree). Applications will be open until October 18, 2023. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to contribute to the policy community, develop their skills and competencies, and manage their careers over the course of two years.
