Welcome to the Winter 2024 semester!
This term, we are focused on one thing especially - helping our graduate students build their skills. To that end, we are running two major skill-building events - the 3-Minute Thesis and GradFlix
3-Minute Thesis: No props, one slide, three minutes - participants in the 3MT will be challenged to present their thesis in one, three-minute talk to a non-expert audience. This is a great opportunity to build speaking and presenting skills that will last a lifetime. You can learn more about the 3MT and register for some of the upcoming workshops here.
GradFlix: Similar to the 3MT, participants in GradFlix will be creating short, 60 to 90 second videos summarizing their research in an easy-to-understand way. All submitted videos will be shown as part of a showcase later this term. You can learn more and register for Gradflix here.
