Art Therapy: Wellness Collage

Participants will have access to an array of collage materials. They will be asked to consider what their goals are for wellness and reflect on what helps them most to stay in balance.

Art-making will allow participants to work through life/professional/academic experiences in a safe and expressive way. Art as healing is a growing movement that has a lot to offer to people working through emotions that are difficult to put into words.

The Art of Flower Arrangement Workshop

Join us for an interactive flower bouquet workshop! Hosted by Gardening 4Joy, this session will teach you the basics of flower arranging while highlighting some of the beautiful flowers grown in the Queen's Community Garden.

Supplies, including vases, will be provided, and attendees, in groups of 5, will create their own unique group arrangements to enter a draw to take it home. Don't miss this chance to unwind, get creative, and bring a little nature indoors!

3D Modelling Workshop

Join us for a 3D Modelling workshop at SparQ Studios Makerspace. SparQ Studios is a makerspace and design studio that provides a wide range of tools, machinery, knowledge, and expertise so that you can bring your idea into a physical form.

3D Modelling is a fun one-hour workshop where attendees can bring their laptop or work on one of the (2 or 3) computers available in the space and learn the basics of creating their own custom 3d model in less than 30 minutes, using standard CAD software. The attendees can then optionally print their 3D designs.

Their mission is to bring peace and positivity to the world through practices of wisdom and compassion. Mindfulness is a critical practice at the monastery. Their daily routine focuses on gratitude, positive thinking and self-discipline.
