Queen’s employees can enjoy a free coffee, tea, or hot chocolate at one of the university’s participating food outlets on Friday, November 8, courtesy of the Office of the Principal and Vice-Chancellor. Reusable mugs are encouraged. Participating locations include:

3D Printing Workshop

Join us for a 3D printing workshop at SparQ Studios Makerspace. SparQ Studios is a makerspace and design studio that provides a wide range of tools, machinery, knowledge, and expertise so that you can bring your idea into a physical form.

Practical run-through where the workshop attendee(s) will:

  • find a 3D model on the internet
  • use the software to “slice” a 3D model
  • take the .gcode file and physically interact with the printer
  • load/unload the filament and start printing their file
