The Integrated Wellness Project is a donor-funded initiative that aims to embed student health and wellbeing across academic and student-life settings in the Faculty of Arts (FAS) of Science and the Smith School of Business.
Students can
- Attend or request mental health and wellbeing training tailored to your group or community. [Submit training request form or register for an in-person training]
- Find the right supports and resources through Student Wellness Services, Queen’s, and the community. [Find on and off campus supports]
- Book a wellness coaching appointment to work on goal related to sleep, physical activity, nutrition, substance use, mindfulness, or social connection. [Book a 1-on-1 appointment]
- Work or volunteer with Health Promotion to support student wellbeing in Arts and Science or Smith School of Business. [View opportunities]
Student leaders and student groups (Department/Graduate Student Councils, Gaels, Bosses, Mentors) can:
- Invite Health Promotion to your meetings for a brief introduction to supports, resources, and referral pathways. [Connect with us]
- Build your well-being navigation skills to better support yourself and connect peers with appropriate resources. [Request training]
Staff and Faculty can:
- Learn how to support a student in need and connect them with appropriate resources (attend an in-person training , complete a self-directed Identifying and Responding to Students in Distress module or connect with Care and Support Services)
- Invite Health Promotion to your class, department, or team to share resources and referral pathways. [Book meeting with the Integrated Wellness Coordinator]
- Connect students with appropriate supports across Student Wellness Services, Queen’s, and the community. [Use navigation toolkit]
- Collaborate with Health Promotion to develop faculty-specific wellbeing initiatives based on the needs of your students. [Book meeting with the Integrated Wellness Coordinator]
This innovative project is evidence-informed, evaluation-driven and grounded in health promotion and public health principles and practices. It is designed to align with Queen’s University priorities and contribute to a broader culture of student wellbeing.

Kelechi Kemnele (He/Him)
Kelechi has over a decade of teaching experience across secondary and post-secondary settings, with expertise in health promotion, motivational interviewing and equity-focused research. He is committed to advancing practical, evidenced-informed approaches to improving health and wellbeing. He is also completing a PhD in Health Promotion at Queen’s University.
