Introduction

About Marc: Marc Wayne is a serial entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience in starting and operating new ventures. Since leaving graduate studies at the age of 23, Marc has been involved in many new and leading industry sectors. This includes co-founding Northumberland Springs Water Company in 1989, co-founding OAM Computer Group - one of Canada’s top 100 technology resellers - in 1993, and becoming a founding investor and Board member of Lasoo.com, a leading provider of spatial software ASP services, whose technology was purchased by Yahoo, 2001.

In 2012 Marc co-founded Bedrocan Canada Inc., one of the first federally licensed producer of cannabis. In 2015, Marc successfully merged Bedrocan with Tweed Marijuana Inc. to form Canopy Growth Corporation. Canopy Growth (CGC-TSX) is now the largest cannabis company in the world. As of January 2018, Canopy has a market cap of over 7 billion dollars. Currently Marc leads Canopy Health Innovations which is the clinical research and development affiliated of Canopy Growth.

Marc is also a former director and Alumni President for the Toronto French School, Canada’s largest independent school as well as Founding Chair of Cannabis Canada Association.

Marc is also active with both the North Toronto Basketball Association and Lawrence Park Athletic Association helping the community as required with coaching and management activities.  An avid traveler, personal challenges include hiking the Inca Trail and climbing Mt Kilimanjaro. Marc lives in North Toronto with his wife Julie, son Sean and daughters Kate and Alyson.
