Timetabling Tiers Request
The three tiers may be summarized as follows:
- Tier 1 (of the highest order, where the employer may be required by law to accommodate a Member’s need);
- Tier 2 (employer will make a reasonable effort to support the Member’s scheduling request);
- Tier 3 (employer will consider the Member’s scheduling preferences).

Please note that Tiers requests pertain to the faculty member and not to specific courses. If you have multiple tiers requests, please fill in a separate form for each. Tiers requests must be submitted annually, and do not carry forward from one year to the next.
The below form is only for submitting Tier 1B and Tier 2A and Tier 2B requests. For other requests, please refer to the University Registrar Timetabling webpage.
In order to have requests approved in time for the March 8 closure of the DCU, it is advised that Tiers Requests are submitted by February 28, 2024.
