Introduction

About Richard: Richard (Rich) Stephenson is based in New York and is currently the head of the firm’s Wholesale Payments Sales teams and MNC Banking Coverage. The MNC coverage team is part of JPMorgan’s Corporate and Investment Bank and works with large corporations on their full banking needs in international locations where they do business. Rich is a member of the Global Corporate Banking Management team, the Wholesale Payments Global Management team, and the North America Balance Sheet Committee.

Rich has over 30 years of banking experience having joined JPMorgan in Tokyo in 1999 to head the firm’s international rates derivatives coverage team. Before joining JPMorgan, Rich was an interest rate cash and derivatives marketer for a competitor institution in London and Tokyo. In 2002, Rich moved to New York and over the subsequent 10 years held a variety of senior roles in the firm’s credit and equity derivative businesses. Before moving into banking in 2014, Rich was Co-Head of Investor Services Sales in North America. Investor Services provides institutional investors and broker dealers with a suite of services including custody, clearing, collateral management as well as prime brokerage and financing.

Rich is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree from Queen’s University, and a MBA from the Ivey Business School at the University of Western Ontario. Rich is a member of the Dean’s Council for Arts and Sciences at Queen’s University, and the Advisory Board of the Ivey Business School.
