Requesting a Delegation to the Board of Trustees

Members of the university community (students, staff, faculty) and members of the public can request to appear before the Board of Trustees to present a statement.

How to Request a Delegation

To appear before the Board and present a statement, please follow these steps:

  • Submit your request by email at least 10 business days before the scheduled Board meeting. Board meeting dates can be found here
  • Your request must include a brief summary of the statement you intend to present, which must be received at least 7 business days before the meeting.

What to Include in Your Request Email

Send your delegation request to the University Secretariat at trustees@queensu.ca and include:

  • Your full name
  • Your role or affiliation (e.g., student, faculty, community member)
  • Contact information (email and phone number)
  • The topic of your statement
  • A brief summary of your statement

What Happens Next?

  • The Chair of the Board will review your request and the summary you provide.
  • The Chair may approve the delegation and will determine the amount of time allotted for your presentation.
  • You will be notified about the outcome of your request before the meeting date.
