The Fast Administrative Support Tool (FAST) allows users to run a wide variety of financial reports for both the research and the non-research community. This tutorial will introduce you to FAST, provide an overview of the most commonly used reports and give guidance on how to receive access and online training.

This video tutorial introduces users to FAST Dashboard Reports. Dashboard reports are graphical representations of pinned reports you have selected to appear on your Dashboard.
The Department Expendable Report tracks expendable balances with, or without, commitments, and in-year revenue and expense activity across all funds. This report can be pivoted many different ways such as by fund/department, department/fund, and fund/program to name a few.
This video tutorial introduces users to FAST Pinned Reports. Pinned reports are reports that were created and saved with specific filters, meaning that each time the user runs the report, the filters applied will be the same.

The Project Summary Report displays research project financial information such as surplus/deficit, budget, revenue, expenses, and commitments at a summary level.

FAST Statement of Operations Research Report (PDF, 2.45 MB)
This tutorial introduces the Statement of Operations – Non Research Report. This report is an account level summary of opening surplus/deficit plus adjustments, current month actuals, year to date actuals, commitments, budget and closing surplus/deficit with and without commitments.
The two most common uses of this report are:
- To view current year to date information for Actuals, Outstanding Commitments, Budget, Year to Date Variance, and Surplus/Deficit and
- To perform the monthly reconciliation process to ensure that all transactions are accounted for.

In this video tutorial, you will learn to run the Transaction Details Balance Sheet Report. The Transaction Details Balance Sheet Report provides you with a line by line transaction details for accounts that start with 1, 2 or 3 for the filter criteria selected.

The GL WorkCenter is a central spot for navigation within PeopleSoft for GL users. It has been designed to help you do your work by making it easier to access commonly used pages and information needed to perform certain tasks without having to navigate between different menus. Items such as journals requiring processing, journals with exceptions, reporting, and my links, can be found within the General Ledger WorkCenter resulting in improved efficiency, productivity, and effectiveness.
