Undergraduate

Tuition & Fees

Below is a list of 2022-23 tuition and fee costs by faculty/school.

  • Unless otherwise specified, fee tables apply from September 1 to August 31. Check out our How to Pay page for instructions to aid you in making your payments correctly and on time
  • Ancillary fees listed have mandatory and optional components, learn more about these fees on our Ancillary Fee page
  • Residence fees and Health Insurance
  • Graduate students – find your tuition and fee breakdown on the Graduate Tuition page

Please note that The Board of Trustees reserves the right to make changes, without notice, to tuition and fees.

  • If fee changes are approved after publication deadlines, every effort will be made to notify students affected
    • Lack of notification does not exempt a student from paying the appropriate fee
  • Normally, fee increases, if applicable, become effective September 1 each year
  • Acceptance of fee payment does not necessarily imply acceptance of registration
  • Review our Fee Policies

Student Status

Undergraduate and diploma students are billed tuition based on their status in the university’s records as one of the following:

You are considered a Domestic Ontario student if you meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • Ontario is the most recent province where you have lived for 12 months in a row prior to being a college or university student. You must not be considered a resident of any other province
  • You are a dependent student, and the primary residence of your parent(s), stepparent(s), or legal guardian is in Ontario (i.e., Ontario is the most recent province where they have lived for 12 months in a row). If your parents/stepparents are separated or divorced, this requirement applies to the parent or stepparent with whom you normally reside
  • You are married, and the primary residence of your spouse or common-law partner is in Ontario (i.e., Ontario is the most recent province where your spouse or common-law partner has lived for 12 months in a row)

You are considered a Domestic Non-Ontario student if you are a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada, and you do not meet the definition of a Domestic Ontario student.

A review form will be available before the start of the fall term for students who have been billed the Domestic Non-Ontario tuition rate but can provide documentation of their eligibility for the Domestic Ontario rate.

International students are defined as non-Canadian students who do not have "permanent resident" status and have had to obtain the authorization of the Canadian government to enter Canada with the intention of pursuing an education.

For information about changing status from international to domestic, see International Student Fees, Exemption Categories, and Status Changes.

The Student Assistance Levy is a fee, applied on a per term basis, charged to students to help improve existing scholarships and student assistance programs, fund the Summer Work Experience Program (SWEP), and support the learning environment.
