Profile: Sandra Araya Rojas

Sandra Araya RojasTeaching & Experiential Learning

I teach Beginning Spanish 111 and 112 at Bader College. These courses are designed for anyone who would like to learn Spanish language and enjoy the Hispanic culture beyond dictionaries and handbooks. Technology, theatre and popular culture are a fundamental part of the course delivery method!

Research

My research explores literature written by Protestant women from the UK and the US in the 19th Century, Southern Cone. Tackling these archives, which are mostly hybrids, combining visuality and writing, has enabled me to approach crucial debates on decolonisation, women writing, and material culture. Also, I am interested on Spanish American theatre and film, and digital literature on Social Media.
