LATN 110 - Introductory Latin (F/W)

Introduction to the language of the ancient Romans.  Diligent students will gain a grasp of Latin grammar and syntax and a basic working Latin vocabulary, and will be on their way to reading Caesar, Cicero, Catullus, Vergil, and other authors at the core of the Western literary tradition. Students will also develop a better understanding of English grammar and syntax, and an appreciation of the influence of Latin on other European languages.
