Kingston Municipal Voting 2022

If you will be 18 on or before October 24, you can vote in the City of Kingston Municipal Election!

If you are a student and consider your "home" to be the place where you live when you are not attending school, which means you plan on returning there, then you are eligible to vote in both your "home" municipality and in the municipality where you currently live while attending school.

How do you vote?

Register to vote by going to cityofkingston.ca/vote. This will ensure you receive a Voter Information Notice in the mail, which will allow you to vote online and in person.

Vote Online from October 5-24. To vote online you will need a Voter Information Notice.

Vote during Advance Polls from October 18-22 at any of the following polling stations found here

You will need ID and proof of address if your Kingston address is not included on your ID (See above link for accepted forms of ID). 

 

Students living in residence can print off a Confirmation of Residence for Election letter showing their current address in residence. 

1. Log into the student gateway (student web) at https://studentweb.housing.queensu.ca/ 

2. Enter your NetID & Password to sign into the Queen’s Single Sign-On page to reach your landing page.

3. Click on the Confirmation of Residence for Election icon to print your proof of address for Election Purposes
